Product Overview

Loose Natural Ametrine Gemstone!

6.88 Carats of Ametrine! Ametrine is a dynamic explosion of Amethyst and Citrine colors in one gemstone. The blending of these two colors rich Purple and the golden Yellow really is an interesting combination in this custom faceted Asscher Cut design. This gem will make one gorgeous Ring or Pendant! Custom Faceted by Ron.

An "Asscher" cut is a step cut with angled corners and rows of pavilion and crown facets that run parallel to the girdle.  Asscher is a term often used to describe these square Emerald cuts. Asscher cuts have more brilliance then a emerald cut. The name is derived from the Asscher family name.

In the 17th century, Europeans first experienced Ametrine gems, Ametrines were presented to the Queen of Spain as a gift by a conquistador returning from his voyage from South America. The conquistador having married the beautiful Princess Anahi, from the Ayoreos tribe of Bolivia, received an Ametrine mine as part of his wife's dowry. The Anahi mine is today the world's only source for the rare Ametrine.

You will receive the exact gemstone in the picture.
