Loose Rare Natural Hyalite Opal Gemstone!
ONE OF THE RAREST GEMS IN THE WORLD! Gem quality Hyalite Opal that comes in veins rarely found that are thick enough to even cut. Comes from only one place on the earth, a small knoll in southern Utah. Most of the material is gone long ago.
PLEASE NOTE: THE LINE IN THE STONE IS NOT A TRUE FRACTURE AND IS TYPICAL OF THIS MATERIAL.
THIS IS THE SAME AS THE SATIN FLASH OPAL MATERIAL ONLY IT ISN'T THE SAME QUALITY, SO I WILL NOT CALL IT SATIN FLASH. IT DOES NOT HAVE NEARLY ENOUGH BUBBLE LIGHT PLAY TO BE SATIN FLASH OPAL. BUT IT IS STILL A VERY UNUSUAL AND FANTASTIC GEM!!!!
This is Hyalite Opal was formed by geyser or hot spring deposits of minerals. Hyalite opal is found in almost all opal deposits in the world but is found in very thin layers on the other opal or in small seams. The location in Utah where this material comes from is the only known location where this adularescent material comes in veins thick enough to cut it.
A VERY NICE GEMSTONE OF A VERY DIFFERENT AND RARE MATERIAL!! The white spot is just a reflection of light.
This beautiful Hyalite Opal gem would look great in a necklace or a ring or even a unique bolo tie. It will make a very beautiful and unique jewelry piece for men or women!
