Ammonite set into a organic sterling silver prong ring! I designed and created this ring just for you! This ring is big and bold. A custom made sterling silver ring that features a genuine, extinct 32 X 24 MM Ammonite. Ring is a size 8.

This is a natural, fossilized shell of an Ammonite and set into a silver bezel setting. On the bone side you can see the iridescence coming through the shell, this is the material that gem Ammolites are cut and polished from. Ammonite Ring measures 1 5/8 inches long and1 1/4 inch wide on the top.
Ammonites are the fossil remains of marine creatures that became extinct millions of years ago. When they died, they sank to the sea bottom and became preserved in the sediment. Over millions of years the earth changed resulting in the sediment that contained these fossils to be pushed to the surface of the earth. Preserved ammonites were found in these pockets of earth. There compacted, compressed ammonite shell was then crushed, heated and weathered through aeons of tectonic upheaval and unearthed in mosaic-like patterns of iridescent Ammolite.
